Instructions on how to obtain a LIMITED LIQUOR LICENCE for your winery trip.

 

If you wish to obtain a liquor license you will need to go to the website, http://www.olgc.sa.gov.au to apply, and you will be applying for a Limited License.

Click on Forms and Publications, then under Forms, New Liquor License Application Forms, click on Liquor and then at the bottom of the list click on Limited License Application (one off short term functions) and fill out the form, you will need the bus registration from our office before you complete the form.

Cost of the Liquor License One Day permit is around $40.00 as at March 2011, you will need a credit card to pay for the License.

 

It can take 2–4 weeks to come through if you apply by email, if you need the license faster you will need to fax the form through to the office Liquor and Gambling commission on Fax 8226 8512.

The wineries are in the business of selling wine and not hosting parties we therefore remind you that the main purpose of obtaining a Liquor License is to have a “Quiet drink” on the way down to the wine region and maybe enjoy a quiet drink before or after lunch between wineries.

 

It is not for the purpose of getting drunk and exhibiting bad behavior. This will not be tolerated and will cause the tour to be terminated immediately with no refund.

 

Due to the large amount of complaints received from the wineries in all regions from large bus groups with Liquor Licences a lot of Bus Companies are now not issuing Liquor Licenses with Wine Tours. At this stage we are till offering this service.

We ask that you consider your group very carefully and be sure that, you, the person booking the bus and therefore, the “responsible person” ( as per office of liquor and gambling) will be able to control all of your groups behavior and limit serving of drinks to anyone in your group that is intoxicated.

 

This is a condition of the Liquor License as required by law and we ask that you abide by it.

 

If you think you cannot control your group effectively we suggest you do not get a liquor licence.
