Day Trips for Seniors

 

We have a great selection of Day Trips for Seniors Clubs. Have a browse of our selections, you can Charter the Bus and make your own arrangements or our Tour Coordinator will be happy to help you plan your day.  Most trips are 9am – 5pm.

 

 

Day Trip 1  Clare Valley

Visits Freeling, see Gungellan Hotel and other sites used for filming of Australian TV series, McLeods Daughters. Pub lunch in Clare and a visit to Sevenhill Historical Winery or Martindale Hall.

 

Day Trip 2  Mid North

Visits Laura—home to Golden North Ice Cream Factory , Lunch at Laura Hotel and a visit to The Old Gladstone Gaol.

Day Trip 3  Moonta Mines and Museum

Visit the heritage area of Moonta and enjoy guided tour of Copper Mine and a visit to museum, Cornish cottages, hughes pump house, ride the tourist railway lunch in the local pub

 

Day Trip 4  Banrock Station

Tour of Banrock Station Wetlands, enjoy morning tea and light lunch on the station and some wine tasting.

Day Trip 5 Second Valley

Enjoy a day of sightseeing on the Flerieu and Second Valley, picnic lunch or in a local pub, wine tasting in McLaren Vale

 

Day Trip 6  Langhorne Creek

Visits 2 or 3 wineries and Newmns Horseradish Farm, take a picnic lunch or enjoy at the local pub.

 

Day Trip 7  Strathalbyn

Strathalbyn is one of South Australia’s prettiest towns, famous for its historic architecture where history is a part of contemporary daily life. Strathalbyn features antique, craft and specialty gift shops, enjoy browsing time. Lunch at one the many cafes or at the Victoria Hotel

 

Day Trip 8 Barossa Secrets

Visit to Whispering Wall Reservoir, Chateau Barossa Rose Garden and other delights of the Barossa , lunch is at one of the Older Traditional Clubs in Tanunda.

 

Day Trip 9  Murray Bridge and Dundees

Sightseeing around Murray Bridge, the Legendary Bunyip, enjoy morning tea at Riverfront Reserve and lunch among the wildlife at Dundees Wildlife Park.

 

Day Trip 10  Old Tailem Town

Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village is one of Australia’s largest pioneer villages. Twelve streets full of memories with more than 90 buildings. See Australia’s true past and heritage with a most realistic and authentic experience. Lunch in Old Tailem or Picnic

 

Day Trip 11 Monarto Zoo

A full day out in Monarto Zoo see the wildlife from the comfort of our coach and enjoy lunch at Monarto or take your own picnic.

 

Day Trip 12 Adelaide Hills

Enjoy morning tea amongst the wildlife at Warrawong and afterwards lunch in stirling or Hahndorf and a visit to one of the local wineries or melbas chocolate factor

 

Day Trip 15 Pryers Cabaret on the FLeurieu

Enjoy a trip down memory lane with your friends in this Old Style Country Cabaret Show with morning tea and country style lunch and a visit to mclaren vale winery.

 

Day Trip 16 Goolwa

Morning tea at Meadows bakery, a visit to the Murray Mouth and a micro brewery , Goolwa Wharf (markets on Sundays) and lunch at Corio Hotel or take your own picnic

 

Day Trip 17  Victor Harbor

Visits Crocs n Chocs Shop in Port Elliott, some sightseeing in the Fleurieu, spectacular coastal views, lunch is Victor Hotel or Middleton Hotel or Horse Drawn Tram to Granite Island for lunch.

Pricing on Day Trips

 

All Day trips depart 9am and return 5/530pm.

We have a two tiered pricing structure depending on your groups requirements—see Option 1 or Option 2

 

Option 1 — Bus Only Prices for 8 Hour Day Trips

12 seater Bus $500.00

24 seater Bus $750.00

46 seater Coach $880.00

You will have to organise your own morning tea and lunch and make all group bookings yourself

 

Option 2 – Organised Trips

If you wish to have these trips with everything arranged including morning tea and all your bookings made for you price will depend on final numbers and lunch decisions
