Short Trips for Seniors

Adelaide Mini Bus has recognised the need to offer a bigger range of tours for Seniors that cater to smaller groups.

Our range of “Short Tours” are becoming more and more popular in Over 50’s and Seniors Clubs.

Booking a 12 Seater Mini Bus or a 24 Seat Mini Bus makes for less people to organise and therefore much easier for you.

Short Tours depart 9-930am and must return to Clubrooms by 230pm.

Short Tours are designed for smaller groups of 12 or 24 people but can be arranged for groups of up to 45.

Short Trip 1 West Lakes Princess

Cruise around West Lakes while enjoying Devonshire Tea Cruise – 1.5 hrs inc Devonshire Tea $20 per head or 2 hour lunch cruise, 2 course lunch and cruise $30 per head

There is easy access to boat for those with walkers.

Short Trip 2 Le Fevre Peninsula Coastal Drive

Enjoy a leisurely drive along the coast and enjoy some coastal scenery from Semaphore to Outer Harbour lunch at Large Pier Hotel or Sailmaster Tavern or a simple lunch of Fish n Chips at the Largs Jetty Kiosk

Short Trip 3 Parks and Gardens

A visit to Morialta Falls Conservation Park, enjoy a leisurely drive in the Adelaide Foothills before a delightful picnic lunch in Morialta Falls Park, a strenuous walk up to the falls for the more fit in your group or just relax in the sun in the park. Take your own picnic lunch or we can organise for you.

Short Trip 4 One Tree Hill

Enjoy a leisurely drive through the Northern Mt Lofty Ranges and see some spectacular views ending up with a light lunch at Art by Da Vinci Cafe and Gallery in One Tree Hill.( only thurs- sun)

Short Trip 5 High Tea at Newmans Nursery

Enjoy the tradition and delight of an Old Style Traditional “High Tea” in Newmans Nursery in Historical Tea Tree Gully. Time for browsing of the Nursery and Gift Shop

Short Trip 6 Japanese Himeji Garden

Enjoy a trip into the City and a cruise around Adelaide and the Parklands ending up with Morning tea or picnic lunch in the Japanese Himeji Gardens. Take your own picnic or we organise for you.

Short Trip 7 Carrick Hill Estate

Take a tour of this house, steeped in tradition or take a stroll through the delightful grounds and enjoy lunch at Carrick Hill Cafe situated in the foothills in Springfield.

Lots to do and see at Carrick Hill, a must for those interested in the History of our State. Take a picnic lunch or dine at the cafe.

Short Trip 8 Adelaide City

This trip takes you into the City of Adelaide with either a tour of the historic Adelaide Oval , a river cruise on the “Pop Eye” river boat where you get to take in all the sites of Adelaide form the River Torrens, or a tour of the Haighs Chocolate Factory with a light lunch afterwards at the Casino.

Short Trip 9 Port Adelaide

A choice of a visit to The Maritime Museum, learn about our history or a visit to The Aviation Musuem, great collection of historical planes or a maybe the Railway Museum is for you, which ever you r choice the Port has lots to offer with lunch at a local pub or cafe.

Short Trip 10 Birdwood Mill

This trip is a must for the car enthusiast, talk a walk back in time as you browse the National Motor Museum at the Old Birdwood Mill. Take a picnic lunch or lunch in the cafe at the mill.

Short Trip 11 Virginia Nursery

Visit to Virginia Nursery with heaps of browsing time at the nursery. Lunch can be at the Cafe at the nursery or at the Whitehorse Inn . Great for garden lovers or those that just like to browse the isles of this extensive garden centre.

Short Trip 12 Utopia at Waterfall Gully

Nestled in the foothills of the Mt Lofty ranges is the quaint European Chalet style tearooms now known as “Utopia” . Enjoy the view and some scones, coffee and tea or a light lunch. Just a short but steep walk away is a waterfall that never runs dry for the Short Trip 13 Harbourtown Shopping

For the shopaholics! Enjoy some of the bargains to be had in the factory outlets, join the VIP club for even more discounts and enjoy free coffee and tea in the lounge area when you are all shopped out.

Lunch at Harbourtown, take your own or choose from the cafes and outlets there.

Short Trip 14 Op Shopping

Visit 3 or 4 Op Shops, get some great bargains, lunch can be take your own for a budget day or we go to a local pub or cafe.

Short Trip 15 St Kilda

A visit to the St Kilda tram museum, St Kilda Marina, Beachfront and Mangrove Trail, (must be fit to walk to complete the mangrove trail)and lunch at The St Kilda hotel, a must for those with an interest in trams or the local area.

Short Tours Depart 9-930am and return you to your House/Clubrooms/Village or meeting point no later than 230pm

Entry fees, lunches and fees are additional to Bus Hire

Step available for easy alighting and trailers available for walkers and or scooters
